Cheers to a December to Remember!
Happy December everyone! Let me start by saying that this weekend was one for the books. After my hubby and I both had a long week, we knew we just needed to let loose and have a fun weekend!
On Friday night, we went out with some friends to a local brewery, Oakshire, its becoming one of our favorites. There, we enjoyed some IPA's and the most amazing fried chicken at a food truck, Buck Buck. Yes... I am from the South and I am telling you... this fried chicken is the BEST! Afterwards, we went to Level Up, an arcade/bar, and I was totally channeling my inner Stranger Things. But seriously, this is one of the funnest date nights that you could have. Its impossible not to laugh the whole time and feel like a kid again (the alcohol does contribute to the laughter)!
Now on to Saturday; I hosted an event with THE cutest boutique in Eugene, Gilt + Gossamer. We did a little holiday sip & shop with mimosas. I was so honored to help their customers pick out gifts and to offer everyone a little style guidance. The owner and employees are all so wonderful, and I fully enjoyed their company while getting a glimpse into the life of a g+g gal!
Sunday Funday has arrived! Robert and I woke up this morning with a serious craving for some brunch. We decided to go to The Vintage, a charming little french-inspired restaurant with the most delectable crepes in the world. I have been here a couple times before with one of my girlfriends, and have always loved the food and atmosphere. I was definitely excited to take my hubby!
As the day is coming to end, its heavy on my mind at how quickly time passes. I honestly can't believe that it is already December. Just a little over a year ago, I made the journey out West to start a new chapter as a newlywed. This year has been nothing short of INCREDIBLE with all of the fun, laughter, love, and curve-balls that life has presented Robert and me with. There are no words to describe how happy I am that I started my blog up again. While I wish that I had been more diligent, I am happy to reach the end of the year knowing that I did stick with it and that I have made progress all along the way. I've got a few things planned this month, and I am so proud that I will be ending the year feeling fulfilled and starting the new year with a determined mind and heart!
OH... and GO DAWGS! SEC CHAMPS!
