Nothing Like the Oregon Coast
It has been a little too long since I last wrote. I started my new job out here in Oregon and things have been so BUSY, which is absolutely wonderful. I haven't blogged as much as I would like, but I am trying to find my balance. The fact that Rob and I have been married and in Oregon together for eight months.... is just beyond me. Time really does pass by in the blink of an eye. As Rob and I get more familiar with our community, we are realizing how amazing the people are and how much we love the "go with the flow" way of life here. Recently, a photographer reached out to me about doing a couples photoshoot at the coast. Without hesitation, I said "YES!" A photoshoot with my man and an excuse to buy a new dress... need I say more? I immediately connected with Whitney, the photographer, and we started sending photos back and forth on dress ideas for the shoot. Because I was buying a dress just for this occasion (and we were looking for something in particular), I wanted to find something relatively inexpensive. I ordered a blush tulle dress from Forever 21, it was part of their contemporary collection, and it could not have been more perfect. The material was amazing and it fit as if it were made just for me.
Now, I have to brag on all of the people who made this photoshoot come to life. Sarah of Makeup Mommy, did an incredible job on my makeup. She is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met, and her kids, equally as sweet. She and her son were so helpful throughout the shoot too. The florals were done by Farm Fancy in Springfield, and they just speak for themselves..... BREATHTAKING! And of course.... the photographer was Whitney Fondron from Springfield. She is truly talented and her photos are awe-inspiring. I recommended every single person invovled, 10/10. Just a little side note, this photoshoot meant more to me than anyone probably intended. As I mentioned before, things have been so busy and time has just flown by. Taking these photos brought me back to our wedding day and so many emotions surfaced. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives. And it made me realize how much Rob and I have accomplished since then (not to brag). But we did move across the freaking country.... 3,000 miles away from all of our friends and family. We both found great jobs and we are making this new place feel like home.
