To a New Beginning
This is my first time posting in quite some time. You know, my life just got hectic. I was finishing college, beginning my new career, got engaged and started planning my wedding, and then prepared for a HUGE move across the country. Yes, hectic... but I wouldn't change a single thing. I was preparing my first post since I had been MIA, I was really excited and had everything planned out-- photos taken, content written... but THEN.... I received my wedding photos from the photographer! A little off topic from fashion, but it seemed only fitting to talk about this huge moment as we begin our new journey ( don't worry, we talk about the dress).
Our wedding was the dream of all weddings. It was absolutely perfect, from the dress to the guests. My MOM was wedding dynamite. She wore every single hat that week/day, and she blew it out of the water. She had her girl-squad, of course, and they rallied for the event. I also have to give a huge shout out to our dear family friend and wedding coordinator, Joan Caldwell. She is so dear to our hearts, and she made every part of this day enjoyable and relaxing for us. Also a dear friend, Ramsey Singletary, who was the bomb.com with our flowers. His talent is beyond my comprehension. There are really no words for how amazing our food was... SNAPS to Jeanie Bracey and John Thomas Catering for their hard work in feeding 300 guests... everyone raved and raved over the catering. One thing that I will always get to cherish... the amazing wedding cakes that my very own Grandmother baked and decorated. A huge praise to our photographers, Clay Byars and my sister, Rebecca Ulrich. Thanks to you two, we get to remember every detail of that day for the rest of our lives. To our friend and DJ, you brought the house DOWN and we loved every minute of it. We were so pleased with our AMAZING rehearsal dinner and reception venue, The Biscuit Company. Last but certainly not least, a HUGE thank you to my best friend since 6th grade, the amazing Brenna Beever. She is the best makeup and hair artist on the planet. I truly felt more beautiful than I ever had before, thanks to your skills. Truthfully, every single person involved put their hearts and souls into making this the best day of our lives.
Ok, let's talk about the dress. After many months of searching, I had almost given up. I then decided to visit my aunt who works at the bridal boutique in my small hometown. I was hesitant to get my dress locally... I just wanted it to be something no one had seen before. However, I found the dress of my dreams. Boom! That was it. The best part, it was both stunning & AFFORDABLE. Thank you, Maggie Sottero. Your design, fit, quality, & impeccable detail... all exceeded my expectations. The dress is named Marina, from the Aracella Collection.
So, now I am a wife to the best man on this earth. We are two weeks in to our new life in Oregon. Like I said, we moved across country, from South GA to the Pacific Northwest. Details to come on that monumental change in the next post!
A special shout out to my loving parents and amazing new in-laws... without your love and support, our wedding and the move would have never been possible.
